Edward H. Bain, Jr. attended Belmont Abbey College graduating with a B.A. in history in 1962. He earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1971 and was admitted to the Virginia State Bar the same year. He was admitted to the Virginia and U.S. District Court and Western District of Virginia in 1971 and is a member of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Bar Association. Ed Bain has served as Commissioner of Accounts for the City of Charlottesville since 2005. He was a member of the Albemarle County School Board from 1986-1987 and the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors from 1987-1994. He is currently on the advisory council of the Legal Aid Justice Center. Mr. Bain’s areas of practice are general practice, civil practice, real estate, probate, civil litigation and eminent domain.
